We slept in the desert that night. A couple of illumination fire missions were shot on different locations. I heard the shots, woke up and made this image.

The vehicle to the left, the desert and by all means the worn, unlaced boots neatly set out along with the illumination capture a moment in a battlefield. This photo has a lot of elements that tell a big story.
