Today's slang lesson! There has been a trend to finish a word with "っ" (we call it as 小さい”つ”?chiisai "tsu") =small "つ”(=tsu) * 眠い=ねむい=nemui (sleepy) →ねむっ!(nemú) Like it or not, you will see or hear this everywhere in Japan now. (There is a TV show called 「お試しかっ!」(=Otameshiká) as well!) Other examples : * 暑い/熱い=あつい=atsui (hot)=あつっ!(Atsú) * うまい=umai (delicious)=うまっ!(Umá) * 早い=はやい=hayai (fast)=早っ!or はやっ!(Hayá) *遅い=おそい=osoi (slow) =遅っ! or おそっ!(Osó) *でかい=dekai (big) =でかっ!
