Of course Connemara Isles is only 40 minutes along the coast road from Galway city via Spiddal with the spectacular scenery of Galway Bay, Aran etc. Am sure he enjoyed the great Golfamra hospitality.

Look on the bright side - - everywhere hasn't come to a stand still- despite snow, frost ,etc. Just shows no place like Connemara and especially with its rugged beauty.- "So beautiful" as he said himself!

that golf course is not in clifden its in the Gaeltacht Connemara, its called the Connemara Isles Golf course in Annaghvane, about 50 mins from galway city, and yes stephen fry is dead right it is a JOY to go there and play!!

As if just having bare ground wasn't enough, the view is breathtaking!
