Looks like a nice side of town

The one acre of non congestion in B-dad. Since the fall of Saddam, cars have increased 3 fold. Infrastructure is catching up. Stop lights instead of traffic control by ak-47. I have seen great changes in over 5 years.

I've stayed in buildings like this and, coming from California, I was always worried they'd collapse in an earthquake.

Oh.. How different is it from the pics my parents had of it in the 70s and early 80s.. It's a shame that such a great country with all it's culture and wealth and history ends up like a third world poor country
