Holy crap, I inadvertendly captured the large bipolar sunspot group 1195 at sunset today, with a simple old compact camera (Panasonic DMC-TZ2; x10 optical zoom). The pair of umbras showed up on several pictures and is thus for real! See the - slightly sharper :-) SDO/HDMI view at http://spaceweather.com/images2011/23apr11/hmi4096_blank.jpg (different orientation) for comparision.
