Initiating some type of clue-based treasure hunt (or a small scale Alternate Reality Game) would draw attention! And be AWESOME!

Libraries - sell enough above cost to be worth your while and let them mark up based on what the local market will bear.

Book stores...(independant and otherwise)if you have a marketing budget at all the big-chain book stores would ask for a set-up (display) charge (fee)...

Also, a Facebook add would be great. Ooo! You could do a blog contest and have people advertise on their blogs for you for a chance to win a poster.

I would definitely advertise in all of the library journals. Librarians would eat this up! I should know!

Oh how about dressing up a dog as a cat and take pics of him/her as an ad and post it up all over the place

SadieSixx 990 days ago

or make a little video with sock puppet cats and post it up everywhere Coraline/Neil/Cat related

going on my rss feed: fantasy sites: tor.com, locusmag.com, io9.com. obvious: Mr. Gaiman's site, Comic Con, after the Coraline musical, plus anywhere Neil goes.

Or bombard many blogs with a picture of a cat wearing a sign that says "BUY MY SHIRT AT NEVERWEAR.COM"

SadieSixx 990 days ago

you should market it on icanhascheezburger.com :)

And is it too obvious to say Twitter the new design with the tag #cats?

Sadly you missed 'World Cat Congress' in March. But there's always next year. Feel like a trip to Melbourne, Australia? http://www.worldcatcongress.org/wp/am_next.html

I think you should do a video that ties in with the current Youtube phenomenon that is 'play him off, Keyboard Cat', but maybe with a 'play him IN' twist.

Indie movie theaters, bookstores as well - Landmark, Reel Pizza - have postcards/flyers that can be posted in the lobby.
