#efab #AIA #AIANJ #ALNNJ - Architecture of the * IRON HORSE RESTAURANT * in Westwood, NJ – as I re-design the kitchen after the October fire, the design poetry of the building appears.  The lnterior layout is like a Steam train on a curved track headed back home after a long day of great service to the community.  The new rear kitchen area is the “STEAM ENGINE”.  Puffing out smoke and steam as it cooks along and pulls the other train cars behind – next followed by the “COAL TENDER” food prep and storage areas.  The two “DINING ROOM CARS” are next followed by the BAR “CABOOSE” with its working  BELL above.  The triangular shape of the property seems to poetically mount the tracks that run alongside the building …  Next time you’re in Westwood look for the caboose bell at the roof line above the corner bar exit door …
