My response to @OrlandoSentinel's article this morning.

This morning I stumbled upon Kathleen Haughney's article on the package of 3 anti-abortion bills clearing the committee. Now I saw that it was printed from the Tallahassee Bureau, and it appeared in our local Orlando Sentinel, so I suppose this opinion can reach out to both. I'm not sure about Ms.Haughney's stance on abortions since it didn't register as an opinion post, but I was curious as to what she might say if someone in "power" told her she no longer had any rights over her flesh and bones when it comes to pregnancy. With all due respect to those who still, in 2012, object to what others do with their own bodies, I could care less about any other position other than leaving it as a freedom to choose. In 2012, if the government, state, or anyone aside from the woman whose body it is feels they need to have the permission to say what she should or shouldn't do with her own body is simply archaic and beyond my reasoning. I could care less about religion, politics, or personal views... There is one simple answer here folks - If it's not your body, it's not your business. How is this any different from the Civil Rights movement and forcing ones own opinion on "what the right color of skin should be"? Remember when they told Elvis he couldn't move his hips in certain circular motions and thrusts because some people felt it encouraged sex and pregnancy? I mean where is the maturity and sign of the times? One's own sexual identity is slowly getting the civil respect it deserves, yet abortion issues are still hiding in the Dark Ages. Men - if you continue to push the position of being pro-life or against abortion on behalf of your religion, creed, race, ethnic beliefs - whatever - I will personally see to it that the first chance we as women get to chop off your penis if it's deemed too small for your physical frame, or too limp for your sexual conquests is immediately put into direct action through some form. I don't care if the penis isn't mine - I think you can't deliver the goods, therefore you must loose the jewels. Sound fair? I can respect all views on various topics, but on this one, I don't mess around. Again, archaic and beyond our times. The moment any politician or in this instance - state, uses it for their own advancement or attempt to gain political votes I go deaf ---- really, something odd happens with my ears and I suddenly can't hear and ignore them, it's quite wonderful actually. Thank you.
