Like it. Agree on leaving the white-on-black behind - but I'm biased (it gives me afterimages for literally *hours* when I read DG. The fact that I continue to do so says a lot about how good it is!) And personally I like it not overplaying the woo-look.

It's about #@%&! time you got rid of reverse type (black background) 'cause it's way easier to read now. How about bigger type?

Sorry, but it doesn't really do anything for me. This is way too generic and slick to reflect the themes TDG deals with. Of course I go there for content, but it's a plus when the layout unmistakably tells you what you're in for, like the current one does
