Human animal husbandry/agriculture has historically caused changes in species predation behaviour, or the death of said predators. Human needs will always come before natural predation. Better the hawks should be shot, rather than so tormented.
that poor hawk, its only doing what comes naturally to it. sure nature is cruel but interfering with nature in this manner isnt something to be proud of. this is illegal in most places
um..evolution doesn't work that way. it would work if they selectively kill all the hawks which aren't afraid of chickens and leave the others alive. now that would probably mean killing every single hawk out there since chickens are their natural prey.
the hawks kill the chickens, so the farmers catch the hawks and bind their feet then let the chickens peck at them for a while then release them. the idea is that that the hawks develop a fear of the chickens, which hopefully becomes bred into their speci

Herman the the Chickenhawk had heard rumors of the chickens getting SAM systems from the Russians but dismissed them, never believing they'd trade for eggs.
