#Tourism Boycott #Greece !! The shame of #Eubea !! Read this and you won't never ever travel to Greece!! The first images from the demostration in front of the taverna at Nea Styra, Eubea, where the owner beaten a puppy with a wooden chair, after giving him a bone to approach him.

This happened in front of many people. The puppy was taken to a veterinary surgeon and has been put to sleep due to severe lesions on the skull. Nea Styra Municipality has a Catch-Neuter-Release programme according to the Law.

The Mayor issued a Press Release (mainly to avoid any disciplinary procedure), saying that stray dogs and cats are a spine in the local community. Locals reacted negatively towards people who participated in the demonstration.

They kept telling them lies such as the offender has been arrested, the ferries won't be enough for so many people, he's hiding on the mountains, etc, in order to make them go ASAP. Young people were totally mute and elders exploded by using disgraceful expressions.

Local people level was bellow zero. Their behaviour showd that the local community prefers to downgrade such an incident due to the shame that local people cannot bear; besides that, the incident took place in the middle of the touristic season, so they affraid the financial impact of it.

The incident in Nea Styra happened a month after a similar one in Cyprus, at Anastasia Hotel in Ayia Napa, owned by the Tsokkos Group. The reaction of local people, Swedes and British tourists alterted already ThomasKook, EasyJet and other providers due to possible cancelations and boycott.
