#2014sacrificiocero #LOLATQM This winter, Miss Adventure was dumped at KCHA after hours. It was snowing, and despite her hunger she wouldn't let us near her. She ran seemingly feral and scavenged for food around our dumpster after closing. We began feeding her on the nature trail, her favorite hiding place, and slowly gained her trust until we baited her with peanut butter and wet, stinky food in a humane trap. She was thin and reluctant to trust, but has progressed beautifully. She's a gorgeous, outgoing girl who needs a happy ending! Rescue/adopter desperately needed! She is about 50 lbs. She had a pretty rough start in life She was abandoned at the shelter after hours and managed to escape her pen before shelter staff had arrived. We spent about a week trying to gain her trust to get her to come to us. She managed to survive by living up in the woods behind the shelter. She was finally caught using a humane officer trap. She has come a long way since then and is now one of the sweetest dogs! She is very loving and has a great personality!
