#Bosnia #Herzegovina another hell hole for animals!! Elections will affect destiny of stray animals! In summer of 2013 Nermina Zaimovic Uzunovic, a representative of Social Democratic Party in House of Representatives in Parliamentary Assembly proposed obscene, primitive and inhuman provision for euthanasia of healthy stray animals in shelters for stray animals. That amendment provides euthanasia of stray animals that are fostered in shelters for stray animals, if they are not adopted in 14 days. This provision is intended to mask the massacres that are happening over stray animals. There are many illegal shelters for stray animals that are formed and led by persons who are close to Bosnia authorities. Animals are being tortured and killed in those shelters constantly. Animals are being beaten, cut, clubbed, raped or tortured in many other horrific ways. Animals do not have water, food, accommodation, they are freezing or they are exposed to extremely high temperatures. Also, animals are being killed with wires, clubs, glass shreds, poison and also fire arms. While all these atrocities are happening, local authorities are financing people who own those shelters. It is a money laundering. Also many stray animals are tortured and killed on the streets. There are many cases of abuse of animals in Bosnia. Authorities do not do anything to find and punish animal abusers. Enormous funds from European Union and budgets of Bosnian authorities have been laundered through the so-called shelters for stray animals, whose owners, directors, managers, are people close to the local authorities in municipalities. If Animal Protection and Welfare Law of Bosnia and Herzegovina is changed, thousands of stray animals will be massacred within 14 days and money from EU and UK will be used for killing of innocent beings in the most terrible way. Act on Amendments to the Act on Protection and Welfare of animals had been legislated by representatives of House of Representatives of Parliamentary Assembly, but members of Constitutional – Legal Committee of House of People were against proposed amendments and they enacted a negative opinion. Due to the lack of the required entity majority negative opinion of the Committee about Amendments to Act on Protection and Welfare of animals were rejected by delegates of House of People. Collegium of House of People shall harmonize Amendments to Animal Protection and Welfare Act. Sulejman Tihic is a member of Collegium of House of People. He has a cancer. His health condition is bad. Because of that he does not participate in sessions of House of People. Session of Collegium shall not be held without his presence. There is a real possibility that Collegium of House of People will not be held before elections in October 2014. It means that the first voting on Amendments to Act on Protection and Welfare of animals had been shall not be held. General Elections are to be held in October, 2014. There is a real possibility that political parties, which want to change Act on Protection and Welfare of animals, will win elections. Amendments to the Act on Protection and Welfare of animals are legal paradox and it is impossible to implement them in practice, but that will not stop Bosnian politicians from legislating proposed amendments.
