220512 Jurassic Park - Ba dum tsssh (25mins)

170512 - Castles - Doodling in the pub, started to get my architecture on with a kiddy felt tip. Im kinda angry at these for various reasons, but as a bunch of doodles they're fine.

Todays Discipline. I've always been a head-drawer, and it really takes some slaps to get rid of that mindset and focus on accurate studies at times. These...arent that bad, the angles of the legs (the bit which is arguably the most important in a chair) are almost exact to the ref, the rest, bad dog no biscuit. Doing this kind of thing requires a technical mindset which I know I have, because I can model in 3D, but which I fail to utilise at times. Its just angles, its not hard, it just requires concentration beyond the whim of my head-draw doodlebrain.

160512 - Fail- this was gonna be like a throne or something in a garden, with like, some kinda japanesey wooden stuff, but I panicked, and was upset by something irrelevant, so, fail. I need to do more speed practise things. It does my head in how much harder it is to transfer yesterdays small confidence boost/learnings on to today without a bridge of 'drawing all morning'.

140511 Gary Fuckin Oak - Messing about. Inexcusably horrible hands and feet, among 95 million other issues, I need to refresh/warm up my anatomy again, didnt let myself noodle on it - wanted more to get something through to a certain stage. Once again it worries me that this looks different on my laptop monitor to my cintiq. This device is stupid.

Cant spend any more time on it tonight. The anatomical logic or lack thereof here hurts your head if you think about it too much, sshh, its ok, just let it slide.

WIP. Its been SO long since I painted like this! It bugs me that the anatomy is like lumps of flesh, but that was kinda the point I guess, as a 'this is what poured out of me when I was feelin those feels' piece... May still edit it if it bugs me too much.
