Hillside Animals


Hillside Animal Sanctuary was set up in 1995, and now gives sanctuary to over 1000 rescued animals mostly saved from the intensive factory farming industry.

Two deer were brought to us within two days of each other - both badly injured in road accidents. One, sadly, didn't survive his injuries. The other, shown above, is recovering well. We would like to name her based on the most popular suggestions received.

Keeping warm - here's Honey, at a week old, snuggling up between his towel-wrapped hot waterbottles. When just a day-old, Honey brought to us after being found by a road. He is just one of many newly-born piglets that have come to us after falling from transporters when their mothers have given birth on the way to the slaughterhouse!
