Hillside Animal Sanctuary was set up in 1995, and now gives sanctuary to over 1000 rescued animals mostly saved from the intensive factory farming industry.

When Lizzie the pony began to show some uncharacteristic behaviour, our vet diagnosed that she has developed a large tumour which needs to be removed before her condition deteriorates. If you would like to help Lizzie please see www.hillside.org.uk

Here are two recently rescued mules, Millie and Mandy, pictured here just out of quarantine. They will soon be joining Murphy, another mule who came to Hillside in a crippled condition because of overgrown hooves.

This little piggie was recently brought to Hillside after he was found alone by the roadside. He is recovering well. His name is Griffin.
