November 15, 1988 - Buran was launched to space for the first and the last time. The flight was fully automatic and lasted 205 minutes. The unmanned flight was the first time that a spacecraft of this size and complexity had been launched, completed maneuvers in orbit, re-entered the atmosphere, and landed under automatic guidance.

This morning watched on TV the snowy launch of Soyuz TMA-22. So great! Wow! Everything is so white! The special launch for the special space ship. With this flight Soyuz TMA ships will complete their work and will be replaced by Soyuz TMA-M. (Photo by Reuters).
