This photo from 'Life' magazine haunted me as a child. It's of a suicide victim named Evelyn McHale, who jumped from the Empire State Building in 1947 after a failed relationship. She looks like she's sleeping.

Here it is, next to our Japanese Buddha statue. At least that's what I think it is. Came from another movie. I always get gifts from people I work with; plus, these are cheap, both statues. Came from museum gift shops, both.
