Ten years ago - almost to the day - Jayne & I received the news that we had won the prestigious Kodak UK Open Portrait Photographer of the Year award for 2001.
Before then, and since, we've won several national and international honours, including runner-up in the Fujifilm Distinction Awards, but it was the Kodak that was always the icing on the cake.
At the time, Kodak's famous red logo was officially the second most recognised trademark in the world, next only to Coca Cola. How sad therefore to see the news today that this former giant of a firm is now facing bankruptcy.
In 1973 Paul Simon sang "Mamma don't take my Kodachrome away" 38 years later, they did just that!
