had this Pinot w/ rack of lamb, very good, would have rather had a '06 Northern Rhone

this is not sake...it's the water the used to make sake from a brewery near Lake Biwa (Kansai, Japan)...it's the best restaurant table H2O I've ever had

see this melon...it's about $80! (Hankyu Dept store - Sakai City - Osaka)

this couple it Kyoshi have been making sushi for more than 25yrs! I'll only eat their blowfish

fugu (blowfish), anago, and ebi...also had hire zake (hot sake w/ blowfish fin), nice on a cold evening

my favorite sushi...Kyoshi (Osaka) near Namba station

...and had a lot of great Sake in Osaka

I was skeptical about the 'Vinturi' but it actually made a difference with this Shiraz blend

...and not to be forgotten...this gem paired with Dungeness crab cakes #wine

...followed by this Sonoma old Chardonnay served with Kumomoto and Belon oysters

Niners lost today...but the wines on this Chardonnay Sunday were fantastic...starting with

my Dungeness crab guy: Bill from the 'Cricket' Pillar Point Harbor, Half Moon Bay
