Sammy L. Smith receives the Governor's "Order of the Silver Crescent" Award, one of the highest civilian honors in SC, awarded to people who make a significant contribution to a particular SC town or city.

Kathy Rawls fondly remembers working on many projects with Sam Smith.

Sam Smith and Ethan Busbee. "Ethan touched my heart," said Smith, "with his article in the recent Wagener Monthly. He pretty much said everything I could possibly say about Wagener." Busbee wrote about the privilege of small town living.

Awww! Baby birds in a nest on the light at our bank's first drive-thru lane! The mama's going crazy with all the drivers coming in and out.
