Jack A Roo passed away today

Pico Rivera is a young 2 year old Tan & Crème Chi. He is small at only 6 pounds, so he is not an alpha male. He gets along with other doggies! He likes men and women, and probably children older than a todder.

Not sure if he is afraid of kitties. At his size, he may turn and run the other way. He may of lived in a VERY quite home, as he has been a little jumpy in his foster home in the beginning when he heard a loud noise. If you must say no to him he just crumbles -- poor little guy, so he must be disciplined with gentleness.

Favorite Activities: He loves to follow people around and help out any way he thinks he can. He is active so you can take him shopping, to the park, and probably the beach.

Adopt Skippy - We just love Skippy this chi / terrier mix.. What a great personality. He is smart as a whip. He looks to be a chi / terrier mix, and is very loving. He loves to go on walks, receive treats, and is generally a very happy to lucky guy. He is around 6 years young!

Adopt Pancho is an adorable Chihuahua who loves to cuddle. Panco is about a year old. When he came into the shelter his back leg was badly broken, but it is all healed now and he is ready to become part of a family.

"Lucy" is a sweet 9 year old female chihuahua. She is spayed, house trained and get along with other dogs.
She has a strong personality but she is always happy. She likes to go to sleep early and will sleep through the night.
She likes her crate and enjoy going for a walk. She like everyone but we would not recommend her to a family with children that are less than 10 years old
(She does not really appreciate to have her ears or tail pulled...)She is not a barker, which is always nice with a chihuahua. Are you ready to say “I Love Lucy’ and offer her the furever home she deserves?

Janis - Female 6lbs 8yrs
This girls have been together and have taken care of each other for a long time.
Joni stays in their area and Janis gets the food and treats to bring back.
This has made them more into one dog then two. Janis is the active one. Joni is the more quite one. They both are so very sweet and loving to everyone around. They get along with other dogs. Like going for walks and rides in the car and sitting with you. Pee pad and crate trained. They do like chewing on rawhides but are not big with playing with toys yet. When you see them together taking care of each other your heart will melt and your spirit will be lifted. Nether one have shown any aggressiveness in foster care. Please let me tell you about this adorable tiny chi who came into SNAP foster from an south county animal care facility. Being soo small they can sometimes be at risk in the shelters.

Adopt Hope is about 2 years old, is a beagle mix, and certainly has a fitting name.... Hope - A true story of courage, survival, resilience and, yes, hope. This dog of many mixes (?) came to the shelter as a stray with a rubber band embedded in her muzzle. It had been there long enough (no food or water for over a week?) to cause the lower jaw to become necrotic (dead tissue), so it had to be removed. Who would know?! She eats like a horse, chews on rawhide, plays fetch, barks, is a total athlete and is happy go lucky. The only residual of her harrowing experience is that she is anxious with some men and will bark at them. However, she is doing better and is fine with men she knows. Great with dogs and cats, she loves cuddling under the covers, riding in the car and going for walks. SNAP has opened the "Hope Medical Fund" to help us get and care for "treatable" and "manageable" shelter animals that need medical treatment. Please help us help those still entering the shelters.

Adopt Dude is a cool 3 year old Chi terrier Mix, weighing about 10 pounds. He would probably do better in an adult home or a home with older children. He loves his treats, but not as much as he would love a forever home. He does great on walks and catches everyone's eye with his shiny coat. What a sweetie.

Adopt Dare, is a sweet chi. He is gentle housebroken, crate trained, sits, comes and will walk without a leash. He loves to sit on your lap and get belly rubs. He loves to sit outside and sunbathe. Although he gets along well with dogs and other animals he just loves people and when you come home he jumps in your arms for a kiss. He will bark when someone comes to the door or into the yard, but is not a barker otherwise.

Prada - Introducing a Pug/Chi blend who is in SNAP foster. She is just so cute. At 4 years old at 9 pounds she is awesome. Prada is her name. She is on the mellow side and gets along really well with other doggies. She does well with men, women and children, but little kiddos may be in question. She loves showing off at the park, she knows how cute she is. Prada is doing really in foster care and loves to be loved and to give love. She deserves a home with love. Meet Prada, she would love to meet you!
