WE NEED AN EMERGENCY FOSTER - rescue is confirmed, but cannot take in newborn puppies (IT MAY BE SEVERAL WEEKS OR LONGER)
This momma has had 9 puppies (yesterday). She is VERY TIMID AND PROTECTIVE of her babies, so the foster has to understand that any sign of aggression is warranted. This is a BIG responsibility, but well worth saving 10 lives.
Rescue will take her when it is safe to move her and the babies.
It's unknown why this girl found herself homeless in Lawrence County to fend for herself, but she has had a rough several months.
She wandered onto someones property where she ingested poison, was shot (buck shot) and eventually got her paw snapped into a spring loaded trap and ran around for at least THREE WEEKS with her paw in this trap.
Several attempts were made to try and catch her, but she was too timid of humans (go figure) and would run from.
The only way she could get herself free from the trap was to chew her paw off.
