Great meeting #Fayetteville State @uncfsu Journalism students at @broncoalumni #NABJ #WABJ #ABMW Georgetown meetup. The Washington Association of Black Journalists and Association of Black Media Workers met with visiting Fayetteville State University students Feb. 21 at Paolo's Ristorante in (Georgetown) D.C. This was an opportunity for students to network with media professionals around the DMV. I have to say I was extremely impressed with the students positive eager attitudes, career questions and professionalism. The Fayetteville State University DC Alumni Chapter hosted the event. Way to go Broncos!

Congrats #NABJ super Producer & #DeltaSigmaTheta Diva @TenishaCNN the new EP for @CNN Newsroom w/ Suzanne Malveaux. NABJ reports bit.ly/yY6rEb Tenisha Bell who has been with CNN for six and a half years currently oversees CNN’s weekend morning shows, 6a – 12p. In that time she has distinguished herself by leading the show teams for anchors T.J. Holmes, Betty Nguyen, Rick Sanchez, Tony Harris, Fredricka Whitfield, Carol Lin and several others. Prior to her time spent in network news she produced in various local markets including Washington, DC, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Chattanooga, Tennessee. I'm super excited for Tenisha since this little lady has been running the show since our student short course at FAMU back in 1999. Cheers to more GREAT news managers!

Good insight on how celebrities in LA are reacting to the news of the fallen songstress. Fellow NABJ member and Associated Press Music Editor @nekesamumbi Nekesa Mumbi Moody's story was the first source I turned to for breaking news coverage Saturday night. http://twitpic.com/8ioym0 Good Job Journos!
